I am a true Italian, born and raised in Catania, a city on the slopes of Mount Etna and at the same time on the sea.
I am 38 years old, after a degree in Tourism Economy and seven years of working through the tourist seasons as an entertainer in resorts, at the age of 24 I moved to London. I spent 9 years there, learning the restaurant trade, beginning as an employee in a 5-star hotel, at a restaurant managed by celebrity Alain Ducasse, and then moving on to independent restaurants and private clubs.
In 2013 I spent one year in New York City, taking on the role of manager of the Sea Grill in Rockefeller Center, one of the most renowned seafood restaurants in town, and for the past four years I moved my residence to Dubai: I started a Thai restaurant, worked for an important emerging Middle Eastern group, and finally settled on Al Grissino. I started to work in the hospitality sector almost as a joke but soaked enough of it through my pores that I finally made it my profession.

Diego worked for many years at Al Grissino in Milan and moved to Dubai for the branch opening in 2015.
